SAFETY FIRST
Rhino Engineering maintains a safety-first culture that is fully integrated into every phase of our civil infrastructure and inspection operations. Field personnel are OSHA-compliant and maintain current HAZWOPER certifications, ensuring readiness to safely perform work in confined spaces, active utility corridors, and other high-risk environments commonly encountered in sewer and stormwater infrastructure projects. Our program includes mandatory daily toolbox talks, site-specific hazard analyses, and continuous reinforcement of safe work practices through active supervision and documentation. Rhino enforces a zero-exception safety policy, emphasizing proactive risk identification, regulatory compliance, and accountability at all levels of the organization to protect personnel, the public, and critical infrastructure while maintaining uninterrupted project performance.
“ANIMALS UNDER INSPECTION”
At Rhino Engineering Solutions, every sewer inspection allows us not only to assess the condition of underground infrastructure, but also to discover the surprising presence of urban wildlife that finds refuge in these spaces.
Throughout our work in different cities, we have documented images of animals that inhabit or pass through drainage systems, highlighting how nature and urban life coexist—even beneath the surface. These photographs reflect our commitment to responsible, safe, and environmentally conscious inspections, emphasizing the importance of maintaining sewer systems in optimal condition for both the community and the environment.
At Rhino Engineering Solutions, we combine technology, expertise, and environmental awareness to deliver efficient solutions—while offering a unique glimpse into the hidden world beneath our cities.
SPECIALIZED PIPELINE CLEANING
Rhino
Engineering provides comprehensive large-diameter sewer, interceptor, and storm
draincleaning services focused on restoring hydraulic capacity, reducing SSO
and localized flooding risk, and supporting long-term system performance. Our
team has executed critical cleaning operations at Denver International Airport
and on major interceptor systems, utilizing high-capacity, environmentally responsible
recycler vacuum technology; the Kaiser AquaStar. This approach is selected
specifically to minimize potable water consumption, enhance debris removal
efficiency, and reduce environmental impacts in sensitive and high-profile
operational environments. Our
cleaning capabilities include full lifecycle debris management, encompassing
field removal, volume quantification, and material characterization and testing
in accordance with applicable state and local regulatory requirements. We
coordinate compliant hauling and transport and manage disposal at approved
off-site facilities, maintaining strict documentation and chain-of-custody
procedures to ensure regulatory defensibility and environmental compliance.
This integrated methodology ensures that sewer and storm drain cleaning
activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with
environmental stewardship objectives from initial removal through final
disposal.INSPECTION
Rhino Engineering has performed comprehensive sewer and stormwater infrastructure inspections across diverse geographic regions, including multiple programs throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, and Colombia. We specialize in inspections within challenging and hard-to-access terrains—such as heavily vegetated corridors, remote environments, and areas with buried or deteriorated access structures—where conventional access and legacy mapping are limited.
